Senior Web Developer 1 position

Responsibilities

– Define project objectives by analyzing client requirements, envisioning system features, functionalities and design
– Develop state-of-the-art modern websites using open-source CMS (Drupal, Magento, WordPress) and modules / 3rd party plugins
– Develop web-based applications with  PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS3 using MVC frameworks (Symfony2, Laravel, etc…)
– Build, secure and maintain cloud backends with the adequate software infrastructure
– Deploy, customize and maintain additional enterprise solutions on client demand
– Provide support to existing and new clients

You

– You should be a talented web developer with enough experience to hit the ground running. Ideal candidates will have a can-do attitude, passion for technology, extensive PHP / HTML / CSS / JavaScript development experience and will be able to get up to speed quickly.
– Minimum 2 years of professional web development experience with proven track record of successful projects and customer deliveries
– Strong knowledge and experience developing with PHP, HTML and JavaScript languages. Knowledge of AngularJS is a plus.
– Strong knowledge and experience programming with front end languages and practices (CSS3 / Compass / SASS / LESS, adaptive and responsive implementations, Bootstrap …)
– Good understanding of REST Web services and modern web applications architecture
– Knowledge of MVC frameworks and CMS (Symfony2, Laravel, Magento, Drupal, WordPress) is a strong plus
– Good understanding of modern web layouts, design and typography.
– Ability to create graphic design elements using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (logos, images, banners, buttons, etc…).
– Good knowledge and experience programming with PHP, HTML and JavaScript languages
– Good sysadmin knowledge (proficiency with Linux OS command lines and familiarity with each layer in the LAMP / LEMP stacks from application architecture and system infrastructure points of view
– Good understanding of software versioning techniques (Git)
– Good communication skills
– Good level of spoken and written English to communicate in an international environment
– Quality-oriented mindset, attention to details
– Ability to be flexible, learn quickly, and work within a team

Extra cookie points:

– Experience with agile software development methodologies (Scrum…)
– Experience with hybrid applications development (Cordova, PhoneGap, AngularJS, Ionic framework, etc…)
– Experience with Magento CMS
– Contributions to the open source community, active on blogs, Twitter and/or HackerNews
