Position: Field Promoter/Salesman
Location: Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Kampong Chhnang, Preah Vihear, Kratie, Stung Traeng, Takeo, Kampot, and Banteay Meanchey province.
Schedule: Full-time
Salary: 350$-500$ based on experience.

Duties

• Promote the company’s pesticides and fertilizer products to retailers and end-users.
• Conduct field demonstrations of the pesticide and fertilizer products with end-users on their farms.
• Disseminate information (technical) of the pesticide products to end-users and retailers.
• Conduct forums or dialogue sessions with end user groups to promote the company’s pesticide products.
• Sell pesticide and fertilizer products to retailers and end-users / assist to make an order to retailers/end-users
• Conduct surveys/collect information of the market, competitions and other matters to assist the company to expand the business.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English (speaking and writing). Proficiency limited to simple conversation and writing. Candidate will be encouraged and supported to attend English proficiency classes if required and when hired. 
• Recognised qualification in agriculture/horticulture preferred but not essential if candidate has agricultural experiences gained from informal training or employment with agriculture-based companies such as plantations, farms or pesticides distributors.
• Knowledge of crops, plant pests and diseases, pesticides essential
• Have organisational skills such as ability to conduct demonstration of the company’s products to end users and to arrange for and conduct forums/dialogue sessions with end users
• Able to be to travel to provinces
• Fresh graduate is encouraged.

UNICEF will hire consultants under Long Term Agreement to support its communication and advocacy efforts and fulfil short-term freelance assignment needs on an ad-hoc basis. The assignments to be carried out by the photographers will include taking images of field activities, covering events and campaigns etc.

How can you make a difference?

Selected photographs will be used in UNICEF´s communication and advocacy materials such as publications, digital platforms, website, educational and awareness-raising materials, etc. These products will be used to promote the rights of children in Cambodia and support UNICEF and UN mandates.

Summary of key functions/accountabilities:

Under the oversight of the Chief of Communication in UNICEF Cambodia, the consultant will work closely with the section and officer seeking the photography service for a specific assignment within the Country Office.

Photographers will cover activities and events such as photo documentation of children’s and families’ lives, development projects in the field, high-level visits, campaign imagery etc. as well as editing and thorough captioning of all submitted photographs.

Additionally, some assignments may require the photographer to capture photo-essay style imagery (with a narrative in mind during field coverage).

Duration and scope of each assignment will be determined on a case-by-case basis   

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree and above, or certificate in relevant field such as photography, communications, journalism, marketing, advertisement, film-making, etc.

Experience:

• 5 years’ experience in professional digital photography
• Demonstrated experience in photography in the area of development/human rights/child rights.
• Previous experience working in Cambodia is highly desirable.
• Experience in multi-media production based on use of still photography would be an asset.

Technical competencies (evidenced by production portfolio):

• Demonstrates professional competence and knowledge of the areas of work
• Proven expertise in development photography
